All cards are made to order. Please specify on how you want your cards customized.
NOTE IF NO SUIT IS SELECTED A (SPADE) WILL BE USED

- specify with apparatus & number or a custom large stamp...only specify paint colors if choosing apparatus and number -
- if requesting custom letters under the # the max is 6 characters.
The cards will no longer contain a suit on both corners on our new edited design it will just feature it in the top left, as this is covered by the helmet band.
HISTORY OF THE HELMET CARD
The tradition of putting a playing card in a helmet dates back to World War II. Soldiers would place a card in their helmet as a way to identify themselves to their fellow soldiers. The card would often have a personal message or a symbol that represented their unit or their country. It was also believed that the card would bring good luck and protect the soldier from harm. Today, the tradition continues among firefighters and other first responders, who often place a card in their helmet as a symbol of their dedication and commitment to their profession.
